A SWEET party!!

My sister always says the party starts at the front door... I hung a sign to welcome the guests!
Front entry table was filled with candy..Pixie sticks, m&m's, gumballs, rock candy and more!!
In the dining room was the chocolate fountain..It acted as one of our crafts for the night.
The Birthday girl with her plate of goodies.. Pretzels, smores pops, strawberries, and spoons.

Makenna celebrated her 11th Birthday this past weekend with 10 of her friends. We decided on the theme of chocolate and sweets after we found some cute cupcake boxes and cutouts at the dollar tree. It helped then that a few weeks ago my sister sent a box filled with sweets and treats. We used most of what she sent for the party.. donuts, rock candy, m&m's and chocolate.

I borrowed a chocolate fountain from my friend Heather. She even told me where to get the chocolate at 40% off making the fountain less than $10 to run. I bought pretzels rods $1, marshmallows $1, Plastic Spoons $1, and strawberries for the girls to dunk. The only other expense associated with the chocolate craft were some bags to wrap the treats in. Again I used 40% off coupons really cutting the cost. In the end the girls went home with a goody bag filled with all the creations that they had made. Fun for everyone and really an inexpensive party.

One of the favorites of the night was a Smores Pop. My sister Lisa saw this cute idea at church this summer. They were kicking off a VBS Camping theme and had these as one of the treats. Simple and easy especially when needing to make Smores for a crowd.

SMORES POPS...
Large marshmallows
Melting Chocolates
Crushed graham crackers
Lollipop sticks

Place a lollipop stick in the center of a large marshmallow. Dunk the Marshmallow in melted chocolate. Once covered roll it in crushed graham crackers.. Voila!! A simple easy smore.
