Home Depot Kid Workshops

I have wanted John to take the boys to a Home Depot Kids Workshop forever!! Today was finally the day. I had seen that they were going to be building the Home Depot Car and thought this would be the perfect one to try and it was!!

They came home with rave reviews.

John thought the project was great and taught several lessons. Carson loved the entire experience. Probably his favorite thing was the apron and the collectors pin that he received. He also talked about the safety glasses, the hammer, gluing things, and putting on the stickers. Jack thought the car he made was really cool and he has already given it a prime spot in his room. Both boys can't wait to go back next month!

I love that the workshop is FREE. I also love that it teaches them some do it yourself type skills and teaches about tool safety. Most of all I love that it is some guy bonding time.

Each month Home Depot features a different project for kids to build. The first time you are given an apron and each time you are given a collectors pin featuring the project you made. You are also given a certificate. Home Depots workshops are the first Saturday of every month.
