Easter must be getting close! Today when we went out to do some yard work we saw this sweet guy hopping by. Jackson saw him scoot under our front bush. We were lucky enough to get a picture of him before he hopped away. So darn sweet and cute.
The kids loved him and were convinced they could keep him. Thank goodness for the internet. I pulled up information on Wild baby bunnies. We read all about them and then immediately headed outside to take back the carrot we had given him. No carrots, no cabbage, no milk. Then we read why we could't keep him, and how important it was to just leave him alone. The kids were sad especially Maddie who cried and cried but they understood it was best to leave him in his habitat. They had fun watching him all day hide near the house. They named him Carrot.
I was happy that Carrot decided to hop away while we were not looking. Somehow it is easier on everyone just knowing that he has gone off. The kids are sure he has hopped off to find his family and probably get ready for Easter.
