FUN TRAIN

The FUN TRAIN is an idea I came up with a few years ago. I believe it began because I was in a bad mood and needed to get out of the house. I told the kids to hurry and get ready because we were going to go have some fun and the train was leaving in 5 minutes. At the time I remember just wanting to get out of the house. Sometimes just doing that will improve everyones moods and attitudes. As it turned out that day we went to 3 different places. I cannot remember where exactly we went that first time but I remember the kids loving it and deciding that the FUN TRAIN was a new favorite activity.

Since that first time it has turned into something that we do probably once a month. I will just announce that the FUN TRAIN is leaving in 5 minutes. They quickly get ready now and can't wait to see where the train takes them.

Rules
Only the conductor knows where the train is going
There are always 3 stops that the FUN TRAIN makes.

I can honestly tell you that most of the time I don't know where we are going. I make it up as we are on the road and as the budget is permitting. Today, for example I was going to just take them on an outing to The Greek Festival. When that didn't turn out nearly as fun as I imagined I said "who is ready to head on stop 2 of the Fun train?" We left the festival, headed for Coldstone to get Ice Cream, and then headed to the $1 movies.
Below are some of the FUN places we have gone over the years. Let me know where the FUN TRAIN takes you this summer.
