Home made Dog Shampoo

I saw this recipe in the BJ'S ad that came in the mail and I thought we would try it with our dog Lucky.

1. 1 cup old fashioned oats
2. 1 cup Baking Soda
3. 3 Tbsp Honey
4. 1 Qt warm water
   
   

The recipe says to grind oats in blender or food processor. Then pour all ingredients into an empty soda bottle. Screw on the cap and then shake. I halved the recipe just to experiment with. I think that the next time I will add the honey into the grinder to see if I can't get the oats finer.

Negatives : There is no lather... the oats are a little clumpy

Positives: Our boy Lucky was definitely cleaner. He felt and smelled cleaner than our normal shampoo. I would say it is worth a try if you are in between groomings and just want a better smelling cleaner looking dog.
