I love when the kids and I find a great new place to play and explore. Pooles Mill Park is just that place. It is located in Ball Ground, Georgia just West of Cumming. It has a wonderful playground, pavillion, and best of all a Covered Bridge over a creek. What is it about covered bridges that make them so appealing?
For me they seem romantic, perfect for pictures, and somehow remind me of the old days. I remember as a kid, my parents would take us to a Pizza place called Covered Bridge Pizza. The dining room was an old Covered Bridge. Such a neat little place. Funny how something as simple as seeing a covered bridge can bring back memories from 30 years ago.
